It’s been a challenging week. But here, every person on our team is working around the clock, pushing forward despite their own exhaustion. When we’re alone, the weight of it all hits us-the frustration, the sadness, the rage. But as a team, we’re resilient, and we stay strong for the animals.

I agree with the other comments that the roof is in a shocking state for the rain to flood everywhere! Surely the landlord is responsible for that? I was horrified that the water was pouring in everywhere!
Thats what I was wondering..1. Why was so much water inside..( did the roof get torn off?)
2. Are they renting that house? If so (isn't that then the lamdlords responsibility to fix the house?)
I think I remember that when they moved in, they got a cheaper rent if they did the maintenance themselves. I could be talking rubbish of course, but it was something like that. They have done a lot of work already, but i doubt anyone was expecting that much rain!

Victor, your staff are incredible washing, all the blankets and towels by hand, doing all the cleaning and sweeping and clearing out all the debris rubbish and dealing with all the washing and cleaning of the dogs with pool water. They are incredible they just do what has to be done without complaint. They are completely devoted to the animals And you are lucky to have them. So I am sending a big thank you to your staff for all that they do for these beautiful animals and to say that does not go unnoticed.❤❤❤🙌🏻

@kerrymason609 too many males in power. It would never pass. We need laws to protect certain animals. They don't have to shoot anything on 4 legs. I guess some females shoot like that. Some political woman shot her dog but even worse, she was so proud, she told everyone via TV.

Hunters only think about the kill they have no empathy for animals or people. Stay strong the animals need each of you. If there is a Carpenter, the doors can be removed and planed to the proper size until funds are available. New Doors would be a permanent fix, but repairing the old could buy time. ❤️🐾👵🐾❤️

I recognize the hard work and dedication here. Being in rescue for over 20 years in the US, I worked through a couple of disasters and a move so I know how hard it is. You have to keep putting one foot in front of the other for the animals. They need you and you'll get it done! On behalf of the animals, I thank you!

We had animals getting very sick from the tainted water and mud in our flood because the sewage mixed. I pray none of your animals get sick from these things.

In our country hunting is seen as a very manly sport, although woman are shooting as well. Looks like a lot of work that needs done. It will get there with time and patience. Take care of the main things first.
it's heartbreaking, and uplifting watching these dogs. This crisis shows though how deep the commitment is to them. Spain itself showed the world some things about keeping together in a natural disaster. Even having a major soft spot for animals, especially those in distress, I don't forget that the human tragedy is really infinitely larger.

Everyone looks exhausted and I know just a iittle of what they are going through. Sleepness nights) sweeping out mud, washing and sanitizing the floors, drying out soaked walls floor tiles cracking and the list goes on. In between you are caring for the animals, giving them their meds, sorting their food but don't forget yourselves. We had just one night and day of clearing up after our river burst it's banks so my heart goes out to you. Bon courage❤❤

I am so sorry for what you are going through at the Great House. Definitely a good investment to get generators and industrial wet and dry hoover. Maybe also solar panels so you can be independent/off grid and can sustainably supplement mains electricity supply and cost. W9rth findung out how much you and/9r property 9wner vlcan ge5 from the state f9r insulation, solar panels and reversible heat exchanger to keep all warm in winter and cool in the summer, and to always have heat and light no matter what the weather does. There should be waterproof, corrugated sheets under the terra cotta tiles, and insulation. There should be regularly cleaned and maintained gutters, down pipes and surface water drainage, and all garden walls should tave integrated storm drains. All terraces incl the one around the pool should also have surface water drainage. All windows and doors should be fitted with weather proof seals and silicon. Surely the landlord is responsible for this and is insured for the entire property as well as his/her civil responsibility? I know it is generally normally so dry and often so hot in Spain, with low annual rainfall but the Med climate can produce evermore violent storms and sudden torrential rain storms. So do try exploring the improvement possibilities and grants with the property owner, local and central gov bodies. I think the owner is duty bound to carry out all water proofing works now s0 Let's Adopt can use its funds instead to buy solar generators, freezers, and replace lost food instead. The property is not fit for purpose if it is not water proof and properly drained. And solar power and a heat pump would greatly reduce your annual heating and hot water costs plus future proof you against power outages. Is there also a possibility of creating a bore hole for an independent water supply; IF your mains water is metered, this could also save you money every year as well as prov8de you with wayer at all times, at least for cleaning, the pool, irrigation, washing and maybe if a UV is fitted and you have a solar powered pump, it would be operational 365 days /365. I hope this might help and encourage you all at this challenging time. Thank you so much for all you so lovingly do for all the animals you possibly can. ❤
